PM Releases 9th Instalment of Financial Benefit Under PM-KISAN Yojana

Under the government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi effectively transferred around Rs 19,500 crore to over 9.75 crore farmers on Monday. During the ceremony, he also used video conferencing to interact with the scheme’s beneficiaries.

With the latest instalment, the government has so far transferred nine installments amounting around ₹1.57 lakh crore to farmer families under PM-KISAN. Under the scheme, an annual direct cash transfer of Rs.6,000 is provided to farmers, which is directly deposited into their registered bank accounts. The amount is paid in three equal four-monthly installments of ₹2,000 each.

The PM-KISAN scheme was announced in the Union Budget of 2019 while the first installment was paid out for December 2018-March 2019 period. The amount is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, addressing the virtual event alongside PM Modi said, “Nation is a witness to the fact that PM Modi has been continuously working for all-round development of the nation. When Olympics was going to be held this yr, he held discussions with the athletes & players before that, he encouraged them.”

Farmers have also been able to avail loan up to Rs 2.32 lakh crore so far, using the Kisan Credit Card scheme, which is linked to 2.28 crore PM-KISAN beneficiaries.

Earlier, on May 14, Prime Minister Modi released the 8th instalment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme via video conferencing.

Step-by-step guide to check PM-Kisan Instalment:

  • Go to the official website of the government – https://pmkisan.gov.in/
  • Now look for ‘Farmer’s Corner Section at the homepage
  • Select the’ Beneficiary Status’ option. Here, the beneficiary can check his or her application status.
  • The list will have the farmer’s name and the amount sent to his bank account.
  • Now either enter your Aadhar Number or Account Number or Mobile Number.
  • Then click on the ‘Get data’

How to check PM-Kisan beneficiary list online

  • Go to Farmers’ Corner
  • Click on the beneficiary list.
  • Select your State, District, Sub-District, Block and Village.
  • Tap on Get report.

Documents needed for registration:

  • Papers of agricultural land.
  • Aadhar card
  • Updated bank account
  • Address proof
  • Passport size photograph
