After Cabinet reshuffling, PM Modi calls another cabinet meeting tomorrow at 5 PM

For the first time in the second term of PM Modi, the cabinet has been expanded. A total of 43 ministers took oath today, out of which 36 new ministers took oath while 7 ministers got promotion. 15 cabinet, 8 independent charge and 20 ministers of state have been made in the new cabinet.

There are now a total of 77 ministers in the Modi cabinet. In this cabinet expansion, seven ministers have been made from UP. With this expansion, the BJP has tried to strike a balance between caste and regional. Along with this, efforts have been made to reach out to all sections in view of the UP Legislative Assembly elections to be held next year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a meeting of ministers tomorrow on Thursday evening at 5 pm. The PM will discuss with new ministers.

Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia also took oath as a cabinet minister. In the year 2020, he left Congress and joined BJP. He played an important role in toppling the Kamal Nath government of MP. Earlier, Manmohan Singh had been a minister of state in the government.

A total of seven ministers of state have been promoted in today’s oath ceremony. While 36 new faces have been included. RCP Singh from JDU and Pashupati Kumar Paras from LJP have also been made cabinet ministers. Prime Minister Modi has taught all the new ministers a lesson of political correctness at his official residence before the oath ceremony. Apart from these, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda and Rajnath Singh were also present in the PM residence.

Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar, Santosh Gangwar, Sadananda Gowda, Sanjay Dhotre, Ratan Lal Kataria and Debashree Choudhary have resigned from their posts. Bengal quota minister Babul Supriyo has also resigned from his post. A total of 11 ministers have resigned so far. Thawarchand Gehlot has already been made the governor.
