After Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election Result Sachin Pilot Says Myth That BJP Undefeatable In North Is Busted

Congress has won the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. The Congress has got an absolute majority in the 68-member assembly. Talking to NDTV on the victory in Himachal, Sachin Pilot said that BJP is unbeatable in North India, it has now proved to be a myth. At the same time, he said that you have to give credit for this victory to the Congress. The Prime Minister himself was asking the rebels to retreat.

“Myth” of the BJP’s invulnerability in north India is busted says Pilot.

Defense Minister, Finance Minister, UP Chief Minister – all were campaigning. Still Congress has won. Significantly, after the victory of Himachal, Sachin Pilot is being praised. Senior Congress leader Rajeev Shukla has also praised him.

“The PM was calling and asking the rebels to withdraw. You have to give credit. To say that the BJP did not win because of rebels would be unfair. The Defence minister, the Finance Minister, the UP Chief Minister — all were there. We still managed to defeat them. It does say about the Congress win,” Mr Pilot

Congress party has given a big blow to the BJP in the ‘Hill State’ Himachal Pradesh, which is proud of the victory of Gujarat. The party has got an absolute majority in the assembly, while the BJP, which is in power in the state under the leadership of Jairam Thakur, has got only 26 seats. Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has not got an edge in any seat.

Party had promised to implement the Old Pension Scheme

The Congress came up with a better strategy this time in the Himachal assembly elections. The party had promised to implement the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) which had a significant impact on the working class. The promises made by the Congress in its manifesto like solving the problems of apple growers, providing employment and free electricity to a certain extent, made a big impact on the voters and people rejected the BJP, voting in favor of the party. The Congress also capitalized on the development work done by former Chief Minister (late) Virbhadra Singh in these elections.
