After Rahul Gandhi, Twitter suspends official account of Mumbai congress committee

After the temporary suspension of Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account, now the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Congress Committee has also been blocked. The working chairman of the committee, Charan Singh Sapra, expressed his objection to this and said that in this matter he would write a letter to Twitter. It is being told that this action has been taken by Twitter in case of violation of rules.

The Congress claimed late on Wednesday night that the Twitter accounts of five senior leaders, including Randeep Surjewala, have also been suspended by the social media company. Earlier, the Twitter account of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was temporarily suspended. Now this kind of action on five more Congress leaders (5 Congress Leader Twitter Account Block) has created a stir in the political corridor.

Congress has claimed that the Twitter accounts of AICC General Secretary and former Union Minister Ajay Maken, party whip in Lok Sabha Manickam Tagore, Assam in-charge and former Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Mahila Congress President Sushmita Dev have been suspended.

Twitter account of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was temporarily suspended in the case of violation of rules. In fact, he had tweeted some photos with the family of a 9-year-old girl who was raped and murdered. Taking cognizance of Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights had directed Twitter to take action. The tweeting of Rahul’s photo was termed by the NCPCR as a violation of the privacy of the victim.

Congress had tweeted from its Twitter handle that, “Rahul Gandhi’s account has been temporarily suspended and necessary process is going on for its restoration. He said, “Till the account is restored, he will be associated with you through other platforms of social media and will continue to raise his voice for the people and fight for them. Jai Hind. ”
