BJP takes a dig at Rahul Gandhi for limited knowledge as the Congress leader attacks it over ‘Jai Shri Ram’

After Congress MP Rahul Gandhi questioned why the BJP and RSS chant “Jai Shri Ram” rather than “Jai Siya Ram” during a rally in Madhya Pradesh, several prominent BJP members criticized the Congress leader for his ignorance of Hindu texts, rituals, and mythology.

At a rally in Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP and RSS chant “Jai Shri Ram” instead of “Jai Siya Ram.”

Speaking at a Rally in the Agar Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi stated that the RSS and BJP chant “Jai Shri Ram” rather than “Jai Siya Ram” as though they have no female members in their organization.

Sharp and Widespread reaction from BJP leaders who question Rahul Gandhi for his ‘limited knowledge’ of Hindu Mythology and Traditions’

There have been widespread reaction from BJP leaders and they questioned Rahul Gandhi’s ‘limited knowledge’ of Hindu Mythology, Scripture and Traditions. Rahul Gandhi received criticism for his comment from top BJP leader and Minister in Madhya Pradesh Narotam Mishra, who said that Gandhi only has a “limited grasp” of Hindu mythology, scriptures, and customs and that his education is restricted to the nursery rhyme “Baa Baa Black Sheep.” Furthermore, it was mentioned that Lord Vishnu’s wives Lakshmi and Sitaji are also given the suffix “Shri” before their names, as is the case with Ram.

Narotam Mishra also stated that Rahul Gandhi has neither read the ‘Ramayan’ or ‘Geeta’ , atleast he should browse on the internet for a description of the prefix ‘Shri’ . In response to Rahul Gandhi’s statement, a number of prominent BJP leaders have asserted that not only did “Shri” refer to the goddess, but that most of them also used both versions, including Prime Minister Modi, who is frequently heard chanting “Jai Siya Ram.”
