Haryana unlocking: Goverment eases curbs

The lockdown period in the state has been extended by two weeks under Epidemic Alert-Safe Haryana. As per the order of Haryana Government, there will be a lockdown in the state till 5 am on 23rd August 2021. However, the night curfew has been lifted. The time restriction has also been removed under the new rules. Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan has issued orders to all the District Deputy Commissioners and Haryana Director General of Police.

Earlier, the government had extended the lockdown till 9 August. Exemptions regarding opening of shops, malls, restaurants, religious places and corporate offices will continue.

On Sunday, the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority issued orders to keep the ‘Pandemic Alert – Safe Haryana’ in force till August 23. Restaurants will open in the state with 50 percent capacity. Now there is no time limit to open all the shops and goods in the state. Restaurants, bars, gyms and spas will continue to operate at 50 per cent capacity as before.

According to the new guide line, the government has also abolished the time limit fixed for gyms etc. Earlier they were allowed to open only for three hours. The new orders will also be applicable in club houses, mall restaurants and golf clubs etc. The limit of 100 people has been fixed for the recent room meetings. Similarly, 200 people will be able to gather in the open. In the issued guidelines, approval has been given to open coaching centres, libraries and training centers as normal.
