Independent Lok Sabha MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli Mohan Delkar has been found dead in a hotel in Mumbai. A suicide note written in Gujarati language has also been found from him. Police is investigating the case.
MP’s body found in Hotel Sea Green-
According to the police, the body of MP Mohan Delkar was found in the Hotel Sea Green in the Marine Drive area of Mumbai on Monday morning. In the initial investigation, the case is being reported as a suicide. However, the police have not confirmed this yet.
According to the information, 58-year-old Mohan Delkar has been an MP seven times. He has been an MP 7 times from 1989 to 2019. In 1989, he became an MP on a Congress ticket. Then in 1991, 1996 also he became Congress MP. However, in 1998, he joined BJP and became MP. After which he took charge as an Independent MP in the year 1999. Apart from this, he was also its MP in 2004 and 2019. Delkar is survived by his wife Kalaben and two children Abhinav and Divita.
Accused of humiliating big leaders-
According to the sources, in the suicide note written in Gujarati, Mohan Dil has also mentioned the names of the big leaders, in the suicide note of Dil Kar, it is also mentioned that the big leaders used to humiliate him and have also become victims of companionship and prejudice. No official statement has come from the police
The police officer declined to comment on reports of a suicide note written in Gujarati near the body of an independent MP. In May 2019, Delkar was elected to the Parliament for the seventh time and reached Parliament. Delkar was a member of the Lok Sabha Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice Affairs. At the same time, he was a member of the Advisory Committee of the lower house on Home Affairs.
