Mamata Banerjee says Modiji has become so powerful only because of Congress

Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who reached Goa, has taunted the Congress. Mamta has said that Modiji has become so powerful only because of Congress. Mamata Banerjee has arrived in Goa to campaign for the assembly elections. Mamata has also confirmed the alliance with Vijay Sardesai’s party Goa Forward Party. Mamata said that PM Modi and BJP have become so powerful because of Congress and Congress is working as a campaign for them.

She has indicated not to have any electoral alliance with the Congress in Goa. Mamata said that the Congress has failed to understand the need to unite the opposition parties. She stressed on the importance of uniting the regional parties to take on the BJP so that the federal structure of the country can be strengthened.

Mamata Banerjee said, “Modiji is going to become more powerful and the reason for this is Congress. Congress has become the television ratings party of BJP. If they do not take any decision, the country will suffer. But why should the country tolerate? The country has ample opportunities.”

Trinamool Congress supremo has arrived in Goa to campaign for the party. The TMC has tied up with the Goa Forward Party, which is headed by Vijay Sardesai. Sardesai has been with the BJP government till now. Mamata also pointed towards West Bengal elections. The Congress then lost the chance of an alliance with the Trinamool. He decided to go ahead and work with the Left and the Indian Secular Front. State Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had said that the name of BJP or TMC will not remain, only the grand alliance will remain.

Although the Congress, the Left did not win a single seat in the election. TMC had recently also mentioned about the Congress not joining hands in Bengal. In Goa, the Congress also refused an alliance with the Goa Forward Party.
