 Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi says ‘Emergency was a dark era in Indian History’

Mann ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Nation in the 108th episode of ‘Mann Ki baat’ today. The Prime Minister spoke about a lot of issues during his session including the Rath yatra, he said that people’s participation in the Rath Yatra’s depicts people’s faith in the country and the religion. This shows the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.

PM: Emergency was a dark Period in our History

While addressing the event, the Prime Minister said that Every Indian will never forget the period of emergency in 1970’s. PM said that he read about the emergency in our country in a book, the book will help people in understanding the democracy of our country. People who used to support democracy were tortured at that time. The memories of that time is still very painful.
