Plastic water bottle thrown at Arvind Kejriwal at Rajkot Garba venue

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. Arvind Kejriwal addressed separate public meetings in Gandhidham and Junagadh on Friday. After that Kejriwal attended a Garba program at Khodaldham in Rajkot. A water bottle was thrown at him during the program.

Actually, a Garba program was organized in Khodaldham on the occasion of Navratra. A large number of people were present in the Garba program. Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal also reached the program. At the same time, Kejriwal was shaking hands to accept the greetings of the people present. Then someone threw a water bottle at him.

The bottle of water passed over his head without hitting him. During that time, along with the Chief Minister of Delhi, his security officers and senior party leaders were also present. AAP’s media coordinator Suknaraj said the bottle was thrown from a distance. It passed over Kejriwal’s head. He said that we cannot say with certainty that the bottle was deliberately thrown at him. The police have not been informed about the incident yet.

Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are on a two-day visit to Gujarat from Saturday ahead of the assembly elections in the state later this year.

The two chief ministers stayed in Rajkot on Saturday after addressing rallies at Gandhidham and Junagadh in Kutch district. Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann will jointly address two rallies in Surendranagar town and Khedbrahma town of Sabarkantha.

Addressing a gathering on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal said that after coming to power, the Aam Aadmi Party will build a government school in every village of the state. Free and quality treatment will be provided to the people. He has also assured to construct a government hospital in 33 districts of the state.
