Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka leave for Lakhimpur Kheri to meet the families of the deceased farmers

The violence case in Lakhimpur Kheri has intensified the political excitement. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has got permission to visit Lakhimpur Kheri. During his UP visit, Rahul had a minor altercation with the security staff at Lucknow airport. After meeting Priyanka in Sitapur, Rahul Gandhi and his sister have left for Lakhimpur to meet the families of farmers killed in Sunday’s violence. Aam Aadmi Party delegation has already reached Lakhimpur.

Rahul Gandhi reached Lucknow on Wednesday with the CMs of Punjab and Chhattisgarh. After reaching Lucknow, the former Congress leader was asked to leave in a UP Police vehicle, then he said, ‘Who are you to arrange for my transport. I want to go by my car.’

Amidst the ongoing politics in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, who came under the target of the opposition, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah today. After this meeting, all kinds of speculations have started. However, top sources in the government have ruled out the possibility of Mishra’s resignation.

A five-member Congress team, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has been allowed to visit Lakhimpur to meet the families of the killed farmers.

Aam Aadmi Party leader and MP Sanjay Singh has also been allowed to go to Lakhimpur. A protest was held in Chandigarh in ‘AAP’ regarding the Lakhimpur case.

UP’s Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avnish Kumar Awasthi has been informed by news agency PTI that all parties have been allowed to go to Lakhimpur but only five members will be allowed to go there.
