Sushma Swaraj Daughter Appointed Co-Convener Of Delhi BJP’s Legal Cell

Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj daughter Bansuri Swaraj, veteran BJP leader, has entered active politics. The newly appointed state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Virendra Sachdeva, has appointed Bansuri as the co-convenor of the legal cell in the state BJP. Bansuri has been associated with BJP but for the first time she has been given appointment in the organization. Bansuri thanked PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda for the appointment.

Bansuri Swaraj was enrolled in the Bar Council of Delhi in 2007. She has been in the legal profession for 16 years and is a criminal lawyer. BA in English Literature from the University of Warwick (Hons), she studied law at the prestigious BPP Law School in London. She later qualified as a barrister at law. Thereafter, she completed her Master of Studies from St. Catharine’s College, University of Oxford.

Have advocated popular cases

Swaraj is known to be a staunch advocate for her clients in court, having represented many high-profile individuals in controversial cases in various courts. She also came into limelight when she joined the team of former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi. Then the BJP defended Bansuri and said that Sushma Swaraj’s daughter has her own profession and is free to do her work.

Apart from this, Bansuri has represented in court cases dealing with disputes related to contracts, real estate, tax, international commercial arbitration as well as several criminal matters. Private Practitioner Bansuri has been the Additional Advocate General of Haryana.

Swaraj Kaushal has also been a lawyer

Sushma Swaraj and her husband Swaraj Kaushal were married in 1975. Kaushal is a crime lawyer in India. He was the youngest Advocate General of India at the age of 34 and was the Governor of Mizoram from 1990 to 1993. Today he is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of India, and was a Member of Parliament from 1998 to 2004.

Sushma Swaraj breathed her last in August 2019 at the age of 67 at AIIMS in Delhi. There are many records in the name of Sushma Swaraj, which the country will now remember. In 1977, when she was 25 years old, she became the youngest cabinet minister of India. From 1977 to 1979, he got 8 ministries like Social Welfare, Labor and Employment. After which, at the age of 27, in 1979, she became the state president of the Janata Party in Haryana.

Sushma Swaraj was the second woman after Indira Gandhi to hold the post of External Affairs Minister. She contested 11 elections in four decades, in which she contested assembly elections three times and won. Sushma was MP for seven times.
