Union Minister Pratap Sarangi has said that Covid-19 vaccine will be made available free of cost to all citizens of the country. The BJP had promised a free corona vaccine in the manifesto of Bihar assembly elections. Subsequently, the opposition parties continued to attack the BJP. He was facing political allegations about the epidemic. Sarangi told reporters that 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that Covid-19 vaccine will be made available to all people free of cost. Vaccination of each person will cost around 500 rupees. Sarangi came to address a meeting in Balasore ahead of the by-election on November 3.

Odisha minister asked for clarification from center

Earlier in the day, RP Swain, a minister in the Odisha government, attacked Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi, seeking answers regarding providing free of cost Covid-19 vaccine. Sarangi made this claim in response to Odisha's Minister of Food Supply and Consumer Welfare RP Swain.

Swain had sought clarification from the two Odisha ministers at the Center, Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi, on the BJP's stand on Odisha after the promise of free vaccine in Bihar?

Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Puducherry have already said that they will give vaccine free to their people. On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has raised the demand for free vaccine for the whole country.
