UP Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak’s Varanasi Visit: Addressing Press, Targeting Opposition, and Focusing on Healthcare

Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brijesh Pathak, embarked on a two-day visit to Varanasi, starting with his arrival at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport on Thursday afternoon. During his stay, Deputy CM Pathak participated in various programs across the city and made significant statements, primarily targeting the opposition.

In his interactions with the media, Deputy CM Pathak expressed his disappointment with the targeting of Sanatan Dharma (ancient Indian religion) and criticized those involved. He asserted that such actions would not be forgiven by the people of India.

On Friday, the Deputy CM is scheduled to partake in several programs in Varanasi, including the inauguration of a private hospital. Following his engagements and inaugurating the program, he will depart for Lucknow in the evening.

During his visit, Deputy CM Pathak was warmly welcomed by Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and workers at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. He commenced his visit with a visit to the revered Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, where he performed darshan (ritual viewing) and worship.

In addition to his temple visit, he also participated in a program organized by the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Speaking to the media after attending the program, he highlighted the Uttar Pradesh government’s efforts to combat communicable diseases, emphasizing the reserved hospital beds and ongoing campaigns for disease control.

In a meeting with the Health Department officials, Deputy CM Pathak issued clear directives regarding negligence in healthcare services, emphasizing immediate action against those found responsible. He underscored the state’s readiness to tackle diseases like dengue, malaria, and typhoid, with government hospitals well-prepared, stocked with medicines, and equipped to provide comprehensive treatment.
