Kashyap’s decision comes weeks after an alleged altercation with junior doctors at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), where he claimed he was beaten. He did not share full details of the incident but linked the experience to his disappointment with the party’s inaction.
During the livestream, Kashyap hinted that the BJP didn’t stand by him when it mattered most. He called his role in the party ineffective and suggested, “There’s no point in staying if I can’t be useful to the people.”
He added that he would continue to speak out using other platforms and in different ways. Though he didn’t confirm it directly, he hinted at possibly contesting in the upcoming assembly elections, but not under the BJP banner.

About Kashyap
Manish Kashyap (whose real name is Tripurari Kumar Tiwari) ran in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections from the Chanpatia seat. An engineering graduate, he switched paths and built a strong presence on social media through political commentary.
In 2023, Kashyap made headlines after he was arrested for spreading fake videos that claimed Bihari migrant workers were being assaulted in Tamil Nadu. The claims caused statewide panic and forced an official response from both governments.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin denied the accusations and assured Bihar CM Nitish Kumar that the claims were false. At that time, Tamil Nadu DGP Shailendra Babu said, “Somebody in Bihar has posted a false and misleading video.” The Madras High Court later granted Kashyap bail.
