INDIA Alliance: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey has announced that the party will contest the upcoming Mumbai and Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections independently, citing the demands of party workers. He criticized the Congress party for its lack of coordination in the INDIA alliance, which was originally formed to challenge the BJP in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Dubey remarked, "The INDIA alliance was formed for elections, but it was the Congress's responsibility to take it forward. There has been no meeting of the alliance, and there is no chairman to guide its direction."

Congress Criticized for Vote Split

Dubey also blamed Congress for its failure to support AAP in recent elections, stating, "If Congress had helped AAP, BJP's victory could have been prevented. Now, Congress is cutting into AAP's vote share, benefiting the BJP." He emphasized that the primary contest remains between the BJP and AAP, accusing Congress of undermining the alliance’s objectives.

Comments on Leadership and Strategy

Dubey took aim at Congress's leadership, urging the party to introspect on its strategy and collaboration. He also referenced recent comments by Omar Abdullah, who praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that such remarks reveal cracks within the opposition bloc.

Shiv Sena’s Independent Path

Highlighting the need for decisive leadership, Dubey reiterated that Shiv Sena (UBT) would prioritize local concerns and party workers' demands by contesting municipal elections alone. "Our focus remains on the people of Mumbai and Nagpur. We will fight these elections independently to strengthen our base," asserted.

The development underscores growing tensions within the INDIA alliance, raising questions about its effectiveness in countering the BJP in forthcoming elections.
