Railway Updates: For the convenience of the passengers, Indian Railways has decided to add one extra stop to the Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Express. Beginning on July 17, the Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Express will halt at the Surat station.
The public have long demanded that the train travelling from Kerala to Delhi and beyond be stopped in Surat. Many travellers will profit from the crucial action.
The Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Express Train No. 12431/12432 would make an additional stop at Surat station for an experimental six-month period, according to Northern Railway Spokesperson Deepak Kumar.

The Hazrat Nizamuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Express, which departs from Surat at 7:14 p.m. on July 17, will stop there. While the Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, train number 12431, will arrive in Surat at 10.15 p.m. on July 19 and end its journey there. On both trips, the train will halt for three minutes.
The train runs from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station to Thiruvananthapuram Central station, the seat of government for Kerala. With a record-breaking top section speed of 104 km/h (65 mph) between Ratnagiri and Sawantwadi Road, it is the Rajdhani Express train that has been operating the longest (225 km or 140 mi in 2 h 10 min).
These Railway updates can be considered as the biggest update because the train will now connect the Thiruvananthapuram Central with Hazrat Nizamuddin via Kollam Junction, Alappuzha, Ernakulam Junction, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangaluru junction, Udupi, Karwar, Madgaon Junction, Ratnagiri, Panvel Junction, Vasai Road, Vadodara Junction, and Kota Junction.
