RCB vs LSG IPL 2023

RCB vs LSG IPL 2023: The decision made by skipper Faf du Plessis to bat first against Lucknow Super Giants on their home ground has proven to be a challenging one. Despite their efforts, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could only reach a total of 120/7 after 19 overs. The difficulties faced by RCB's batters were evident, but it was a strange incident between the two umpires on the field that caught the most attention.

Netizens troll umpires once again

In the crucial 18th over of the innings, Naveen ul Haq showcased his bowling skills by outsmarting Mahipal Lomror with a clever change of pace on the fifth ball. The ball struck Lomror's pads, prompting the umpire to raise his finger in response to the fielding team's appeal for a dismissal. Following a lengthy discussion with Dinesh Karthik, Lomror made the bold decision to challenge the umpire's decision. However, what unfolded next was an unexpected turn of events.

Just as the batter signaled for a review, the leg umpire Sadashiv Iyer informed the batters that they had exceeded the allotted time for taking a review. However, umpire Anil Kumar Chaudhari, who had initially given the batter out, decided to refer the decision to the third umpire. Surprisingly, RCB's call for a DRS (Decision Review System) was accepted. The incident led to confusion among the umpires, and the Twiterrati took to social media to express their opinions on the matter.
