Aamir Raza Passes away: Well Known theatre actor and Director Aamir Raza Hussain passed away in Delhi , he was 66 years old. He is survived by his wife Viraat Talwar and children kaniz Sukaina and Ghulam Ali Abbas. Aamir Raza Hussain was born in an Awadhi family in Lucknow. After he finished his schooling. He went to St Stephen’s college in Delhi to study History. He acted in various plays and worked with Directors like Joy Michael, Barry John and Marcus Murch. Aamir Rza Hussain was also known for his large outdoor stage Productions like the ‘ Fifty Day war’ based on the kargil war and The legend of Ram is no more. He was also the Creative Director of Stagedoor Theatre company established in 1974 which had staged over 91 Productions and more than 1000 performances.

Aamir Hussain appeared in two films –in Kim ( 1984)based on Rudyard Kipling’s novel with Peter O’ Toole playing the lead and Shashank Ghosh’s romantic comedy drama , Khubsoorat ( 2014) starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan. Over the years, he also produced several plays staged at the outdoor locations , ‘Sare jahan se acha’ and satyamev jayate which was staged along the backdrop of the 14th century, Hauz Khas monument in Delhi in the year 1999.

Aamir Hussain was awarded a Padma Shree in 2001 . The news of his demise spread through the theatre community across the country. His audiences included Presidents such as Shankar Dayal Sharma. In 1998, his troupe in collaboration with Delhi Tourism organized ‘Chaudvi ka Chand’ Festival between Red Fort and fatehpur Mosque in chandni Chowk … He was also once a member of the BJP and was Delhi BJP Vice President, but he quit later after he criticized PM Narendra Modi.
