Russia Ukraine War Update: Explosions heard across Ukrainian cities

Tensions between Russia and Ukraine do not seem to be subsiding. In such a situation, many countries of the world are imposing economic sanctions to rein in Russia. But Russian President Putin is not bumbling. Where every day some tough decision is being taken against Russia. Meanwhile, America is now trying to increase the scope of sanctions against Russia, so that in any case, the effect of the deteriorating economy is more on Russia and its stance should be softened.

The sound of explosions was heard in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The Russian army approached the Ukrainian capital. CNN in Kyiv reported hearing explosions in the early hours of this morning. Fighting continues on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital. The city administration says that the area in the north is considered the most dangerous. In the east of the city, across the Dnieper River, fighting has also intensified in Brovry.

Ukraine’s parliament said on Twitter: “A group of 10 captives kidnapped Melitopol’s Mayor Ivan Fedorov.” In a video message late Friday, Zelensky confirmed the kidnapping. According to him, Fedorov had captured the city. Was refused cooperation with the Russian army. After which he was detained at the City Crisis Center.

America is constantly taking tough steps against Russia. State Department spokesman Ned said that the Commerce Department has imposed new controls on the export of US luxury goods to Russia and Belarus. “We have also imposed import restrictions on Russian wine, seafood and non-industrial diamonds,” he said. Ned said, we will remain committed and united with Ukraine. There will be no respite for Russia from sanctions or other costs imposed by us and these sanctions will remain on Russia until Putin changes his course and softens his brutal aggression.

US President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal of the ‘Most Favored Country’ (MFN) status given to Russia. Simultaneously, the import of seafood products (seafood), wine and diamonds from Russia was also banned. The US government’s decision to withdraw MFN status from Russia was taken together with the European Union and the G-7 group countries. Withdrawal of the Most Favored Country status will allow the US and its allies to impose heavy duties on imports from Russia. With this new decision, America and allies want to inflict a severe blow on the economy of Russia.

Economically bad news is coming out for Russia, which has attacked Ukraine. Now Deutsche Bank of Germany has stopped its operations in Russia as well. Germany’s biggest bank said on Friday it was following other international companies to shut down their operations in Russia in protest of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. Even before this, more than 300 well-known firms from all over the world have wrapped up their work in Russia.

US President Joe Biden said on Friday that Russia will pay a heavy price for its use of chemical weapons. He said that the US would not fight Russia in Ukraine because a direct confrontation between NATO and Moscow would lead to the start of the Third World War. “We will continue to stand by our allies in Europe and send the right message,” Biden told reporters at the White House.
