Skoda Octavia Facelift Global Debut Confirmed For February 14; All Details Here

Skoda Octavia Facelift: Czech Republic-based carmaker, Skoda is gearing up to unveil the facelift variant of its flagship sedan, the Skoda Octavia. We have some hints related to the design of the upcoming facelift. It is expected that the sedan will arrive with a new relatively sleeker design than the outgoing model. Along with confirming the global debut Octavia facelift, the Skoda has also announced that the sedan will also get the Sportline and top-end vRS variants.

Skoda Octavia Facelift Expected Upgrades

Although, the automaker has not officially revealed any information about the sedan's upgrades. But, being a facelift, we are expecting Octavia will come with new bumpers and an upgraded front grille. Along with this, it is expected to feature a slimmer design language with a new pair of headlights complementing the new look.

While the powertrain is also not known yet, we can expect that it will be equipped with 1.5-litre turbo petrol, 2.0-litre turbo diesel and mild hybrid powertrains which are similar to the outgoing model of the Sedan. On the other hand, the automaker is also expected to introduce a plug-in powertrain for the sedan.

Skoda Octavia EV in Works

Skoda Octavia will also get an EV counterpart as the automaker is working on the same. The EV Octavia will feature a more advanced battery setup which is claimed to provide a maximum driving range of 595 km.

Skoda Octavia Facelift: India Debut?

The automaker has not made any official announcement regarding the India comeback of the Skoda Octavia facelift. But reports suggest that the carmaker may launch the Octavia RS iV with plug-in hybrid technology.
