Skoda Rapid Cabriolet showcased by the brand, comes with seat-mounted seatbelts and a touchscreen infotainment system, all you need to know

Skoda Rapid Cabriolet: Although the new Skoda Slavia sedan took the place of the Skoda Rapid sedan in India, the Czech automaker surprised many by displaying the Skoda Rapid convertible.

Skoda Rapid Cabriolet

But the Skoda Rapid cabriolet on display is a one-of-a-kind design that was created as part of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited’s student car project. Additionally, it is noteworthy that this is the Indian automaker’s first-ever student-car project.

What’s different

In comparison to the standard model, the open-top Skoda Rapid Convertible boasts a number of upgrades, such as a retractable Skoda insignia on the bonnet, an LED lip lamp up front, and yellow highlights on the front bumper, door panels, and brake callipers. Due to the absence of B-pillars, this project’s cabin has seat-mounted seatbelts. The team also overhauled the interior, giving it a touchscreen infotainment system and sporty-looking scarlet-red leather. No modifications to the engine beneath the hood have been announced by Skoda. The stock engine and gearbox are anticipated to be kept, with just external and interior modifications made.
