Smriti Irani: Once again Union Minister Smriti Irani took a Jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday. She posted upside down a picture of him on microblogging site Twitter. The picture shows him performing aarti.

It’s Smriti vs Rahul

Smriti Irani often attacks Rahul Gandhi ever since she wrested Amethi seat from him in the Lok Sabha election 2019. Her victory defeating the Congress scion politically catapulted Irani. Rahul Gandhi was the Congress president then and Amethi had been a stronghold of Congress for decades. Nobody could have imagined that a BJP leader could defeat Congress in Amethi. But then came Irani who created history.

The win in Amethi emboldened Irani to start attacking Rahul. She also visited Rahul’s current Lok Sabha constituency Wayanad.

Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra, is accompanied by former MP chief minister Kamal Nath, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra and their son Rehan.

Earlier, Rahul’s sister and Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by her brother for the second consecutive day on Friday during its Madhya Pradesh leg.

On reaching Omkareshwar, one of the 12 jyotirlings in the country, in the evening, Rahul offered prayers at the temple. He also took part in the Narmada River aarti.

Bharat Jodo Yatra will cover 380 km in 12 days in the Malwa-Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh before entering Rajasthan.
