Tata Blackbird: One of the most anticipated SUVs in the country, expected to give tough competition to Creta and Seltos, all you should know

Tata Blackbird: The country sees a lot of sales in the mid-size SUV sector. For a very long time, the Hyundai Creta has maintained its dominance in this market. The Kia Seltos is the second most popular vehicle in this market. In the remaining mid-size SUV sector, there are no other compelling options. However, Tata Motors will also enter the market soon. Currently, Tata has Nexon and Harrier in sub 4 meters and 4.6 meters respectively. But between these two will come the impending new SUV. That is, Tata’s car will soon present Creta and Seltos with fierce competition.

Tata Blackbird expected specifications

Tata might use a brand new 1.5-litre petrol engine for this car. which will be more powerful and larger than the 1.2-litre Revotron engine found in the Nexon. This engine will have a 160 hp power output. Also, the option of manual and automatic transmission can be found in it.

Expected features

Speaking of the Tata Blackbird SUV’s interior, rumours of leaks indicate that a free-standing touch screen will be installed. It’ll be placed in the centre. It will have a steering wheel with two spokes. Along with this, a sunroof will also be included in it. Android Auto and Car Play are supported by the 10-inch infotainment system.

Expected launch

Regarding the introduction of the Blackbird SUV, Tata Motors has not made any public announcements. However, we anticipate Tata Motors will present the Blackbird SUV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. If it is released, it will compete with the forthcoming Maruti Suzuki Hyryder as well as the recently introduced Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the facelifted Hyundai Creta, which is anticipated to make its debut at the Auto Expo. The Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor are some of Tata Blackbird’s further competitors.
