Tata Motors: One year after initially submitting the trademark registration, the government recently authorised it. Tata Motors has successfully registered the name “Frest” in India. The term will be used for “land vehicles and their components,” according to the material at hand, suggesting that it might be given to a future passenger vehicle. Although there are few details available, it is expected that one of the production versions based on the Curvv concept SUVs will be called the Tata Frest.

The concept model of Tata Motors’ forthcoming SUV, the Curvv, was unveiled in January during the Auto Expo of this year. The vehicle is constructed using the manufacturer’s Generation 2 EV architecture, a significantly improved version of previous platforms. Several powertrains, different body types, and bigger battery packs are supported by this architecture. Electric and gasoline-powered drivetrains will be offered for the Curvv SUV.

The car’s petrol variant is anticipated to come equipped with Tata’s brand-new 1.2L turbo engine, which can generate 125PS and 225Nm of torque.

Within two years of the introduction of the ICE model and with a range of about 500 km, the Tata Curvv’s electric variant is anticipated to go on sale, however, no specific details are currently available.

Expected price in India

The price and launch date have not been made public by the manufacturer. The evidence indicates that it will launch in April 2024. Its ex-showroom starting price is 10.50 lakh.
