UP to provides 10 lakh aid to kin of 53 journalists who died of Covid-19

During the Corona (Covid 19) period in Uttar Pradesh, the families of 53 journalists who lost their lives due to Corona while fulfilling their responsibility towards the society, were provided assistance by the UP government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath provided checks of assistance to the families of journalists who lost their lives untimely during the Corona period. CM Yogi handed over these checks to the families of the victims on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. BJP celebrates this day as Good Governance Day.

CM Yogi Adityanath distributed checks amounting to a total of Rs 5.30 crore to the families of 53 journalists who died of Covid-19. During this, Yogi Adityanath said that today is an emotional moment for all of us. He said that the whole world has been in the grip of the biggest epidemic of this century for the last 3 years. During this, the whole world also praised the Corona management of the Center and the UP government. The CM said that where the whole world was troubled due to Corona, due to teamwork under the leadership of PM Modi in India, control over Corona was found.

CM Yogi gave assistance

Referring to the contribution of media personnel in the Corona period, CM Yogi said that during the Corona period, the media also worked to connect people with discipline. During this, the people of the media world also had to lose their lives. CM said that 103 accredited journalists fell in the grip of this disease in Corona Kala and lost their lives. After which the problem of maintenance had arisen in front of their families. The state government provided Rs 10 lakh each as assistance to the families of all these late journalists.

CM Yogi said that earlier in July last year, the families of 50 late journalists were given assistance of Rs 10 lakh each. After which now the remaining 53 journalists have also been given assistance.
