Uttar Pradesh: Insolvent woman bets self in game of Ludo, loses to landlord

Uttar Pradesh: The passion to the game of Ludo turned bitter for a woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh after she gambled on herself with no money and lost to her landlord.

Incident in detail

Renu, the woman, used to gamble with money given by her husband, who works in Rajasthan’s Jaipur. The incident occurred in the Nagar Kotwali area of Devkali. The woman was obsessed with the game Ludo. She used to play the game on a daily basis with her landlord.

On one such occasion, when both of them were playing the game and putting bets, the woman put herself in jeopardy when she ran out of money.

Renu’s husband travelled to Pratapgarh and made a police report

She called her husband and told him everything that had happened. Her spouse travelled to Pratapgarh and made a police report. He also shared this incidence on social media, which is now becoming viral.

Renu’s husband claims to have lived in Devkali in a rented house. He travelled to Jaipur to work six months ago and kept transferring money to his wife, who spent it for gambling. She gambled herself on Ludo after she ran out of money and lost.
The couple has two kids.

The wife, according to the husband, has now moved in with the landlord. “I attempted to force her to leave him, but she refused.”

Subodh Gautam, a police official, stated, “We are trying to get in touch with the man and will start an investigation as soon as we contact him.”
