Following the powerful explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, the Uttarakhand Police have stepped up security across the state. All districts are now on high alert, with special focus on crowded areas, transport hubs, and public places.

Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh said, “All districts of Uttarakhand are on high alert following the blast in Delhi yesterday. Security checks are being conducted at crowded places. Suspicious vehicles are being checked, and sniffer dogs are also being used.”

Security Tightened at Key Locations

Police teams have been deployed at bus stands, railway stations, and markets, including Dehradun ISBT, where intensive vehicle checks are underway. Visuals shared by ANI showed security personnel inspecting cars and luggage as part of the heightened vigilance drive.

Statewide Coordination and Preventive Measures

Senior police officials have instructed all district units to maintain round-the-clock surveillance and verify identities of travelers entering the state. Coordination with central intelligence agencies has also been strengthened to prevent any untoward incident.

Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm, stay alert, and immediately report any suspicious activities or unattended objects to the nearest police station.
