Vitamin B12 is very useful for a healthy body. Many people ignore the problems caused by Vitamin B12 deficiency due to lack of information. Apart from the production of DNA and red blood cells, Vitamin B12 also plays an important role in the synthesis of nerves.

Vitamin B12 is not produced by the body, so we get it from some food items or supplements. Vitamin B12 is very important for our body, so those foods in which it is found in abundance should be consumed daily. Limb numbness

The most prominent symptom of Vitamin B12 deficiency is numbness of the limbs. Peripheral neuropathy causes nerve damage that causes limb numbness. Due to deficiency of Vitamin B12, there is a decrease in the production of neurotransmitters which hinders the nerve transmission.

Extreme weakness and tiredness

People who have Vitamin B12 deficiency have to face the problem of extreme fatigue and weakness. In such conditions it is difficult for such people to walk properly.

Swollen or smooth tongue

Due to lack of vitamin B12, the tongue of the patients becomes swollen or excessively soft. In such a condition, the colour of their tongue changes turns to dark red and excessive itching and burning sensation is felt in the mouth.

Affects digestive system

Vitamin B12 deficiency also affects the digestive system, due to which many people have to struggle with indigestion, constipation, gas, diarrhea and other diseases.

Affects mental health

Lack of Vitamin B12 also affects the brain. Vitamin B12 deficiency reduces the power of thinking and understanding of a person. Apart from this, depression, memory loss and change in behaviour are seen in those who suffer from it.
