Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun: Volkswagen has teased yet another limited version of the compact SUV, the GT Edge Trail version, just after launching the former. It will also be offered with the Volkswagen Virtus and is titled the “Sound” edition. It is scheduled for launch tomorrow. In this article, we will share all we know about this edition of the cars.
Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun Sound Edition
Judging by their names, the Taigun Sound Edition and Virtus Sound Edition are anticipated to satisfy audiophiles with a better audio system than the vehicles’ stock setup.
The Taigun’s top-tier GT Edge trim level includes six speakers along with an amplifier and subwoofer as standard. By contrast, the Virtus GT Edge version comes with an amplifier, a subwoofer, and eight speakers.
Powertrain details
There won’t be any mechanical modifications to the most recent special edition. There are two turbo-petrol engine options available for the Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus: a 1.5-litre engine (150 PS/250 Nm) and a 1-litre 3-cylinder unit (115 PS/178 Nm). Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. While a 6-speed AT is an optional feature for the former, a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch gearbox) automatic gearbox is available for the latter.
