The Indian stock market is seeing a boom once again. Last week, the Sensex had crossed the crucial level of 60 thousand.

Now what factors will affect the market next week.

Experts say that the direction of the stock markets will be decided this week by the global trends, the attitude of foreign investors and the movement of the rupee.

Santosh Meena, Head of Research, Swastika Investmart Ltd said, “This week the August Futures and Options (F&O) deals will be completed where the bulls are looking for rest after the gains in the August series.”

He said, “There are not many events this week, but global cues, F&O deals for the month of August and the FII’s stance will be important in deciding the direction of the market.”

The quarterly results of almost all companies are out, and now the market’s focus will be on Sino-US geopolitical tensions and Russia-Ukraine conflict apart from crude oil trends. Ajit Mishra, Vice President (Research) Religare Broking Limited said that this week traders will be busy for settlement of futures deals. Apart from this, the market will also keep an eye on global signals from America and the arrival of foreign investment.

Last week, the Sensex rose 183.37 points or 0.30 per cent and the Nifty gained 60.30 points or 0.34 per cent. Nifty 50 also closed at 17,758.5 ​​with a gain of 60.50 points (0.34 per cent). During the last week, the Sensex crossed the 60,000 mark and the Nifty also reached close to 18,000. BSE Mid-cap rose 1 per cent last week.

After becoming net buyers last month, foreign investors have shown tremendous enthusiasm for the Indian stock markets in August as well. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have invested around Rs 44,500 crore so far in August. His confidence in the Indian markets increased amidst lower inflation in the US and a fall in the dollar index.

According to depository data, FPIs made a net investment of about Rs 5,000 crore in the month of July. FPIs sold massively for nine consecutive months, after which they became net buyers for the first time in July. Earlier, between October 2021 and June 2022, he had made huge sales of Rs 2.46 lakh crore in the Indian equity markets.
