Yamaha Aerox 155 Taiwanese sibling looks way better than the Indian variant, see for yourself

Yamaha Aerox 155: Sporty scooters are now popular, but Yamaha has something to offer that combines sportiness with high aesthetic value and features. The Augur, the Taiwanese brother of the Aerox 155, is a charmer and boasts features that are unmatched for the platform.

We could write a lot about the design, but it wouldn’t be enough. This devilishly attractive scooter has a design language that is distinctly strange. Additionally, one can assume that it was created by Ducati.

Augur’s Design

With tri-LED DRLs and LED projector headlights, it acquires a pointed, arrow-like “face”. The sides are simple while also being fairly angular and sporty. A flat floorboard is also included with the Augur, unlike the NMax 155 and Aerox 155.

Yamaha Aerox 155 siblings performance details and features

The same engine as the Aerox 155, a 155cc liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation, powers this lucid scooter. Though the power and torque numbers haven’t been disclosed, anticipate that they’ll be close to Aerox’s numbers of 15PS and 13.9Nm.

The Augur really knocks us for six when it comes to features. It has a 4.3-inch digital instrument console, smartphone connectivity, traction control, ABS, keyless entry, and all-LED lighting, among other features.

This scooter’s headlight is extremely intriguing because it also has cornering assistance, a function often found on large bikes, and an adaptive colour headlight that adjusts the light temperature based on the riding environment—something you won’t find even in high-end cars.

It has disc brakes on both ends and a suspension system with a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. This scooter also rides on 13-inch rims.

Price and Availability in India

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that the Augur will visit India, though we hope it does. However, given that the Aerox 155 costs Rs 1,40,800, it would have a quite high price if it were to be released in India (ex-showroom Delhi).
