Yoga Guru Ramdev booked for making incendiary comments during seers’ gathering in Barmer, Rajasthan

According to police, Yoga guru Ramdev was the subject of a FIR filed on Sunday for allegedly inciting animosity and stirring up religious sentiments during a gathering of seers in Rajasthan’s Barmer district.

FIR registered against Yoga Guru Ramdev

As per police officer, the FIR was filed at Chauhatan police station as a result of a complaint made by Pathai Khan, a local resident.

Ramdev had alleged that Christianity and Islam obsessed with conversion

The case was filed under IPC sections 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), 298 (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, and residence), and 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of race), according to Chauhatan Police Station SHO Bhutaram (uttering, words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings of any person).

Ramdev compared Hinduism to Islam and Christianity while accusing Muslims of using terrorism and kidnapping Hindu women at the gathering of seers on February 2.

He claimed that while Hinduism taught its adherents to do good, the other two religions were fixated on conversion.
