ABVP Meets the Health Minister to discuss postponement of NEET PG 2022 Exam

An Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) delegation, the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, met the Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday, May 18th, to discuss the possibility of deferring the NEET PG 2022 exam. The delegation has put forward six points favouring postponement during the meeting with the health minister and other senior officials of the department.

“After this extensive discussion, a direction to the discussion is expected giving relief to the candidates,” the official release read. In a memorandum, the ABVP has placed the problems NEET PG 2022 aspirants are facing, demanding to reopen the application form link for the students whose allotted seats were cancelled.

The National Convener of MeDe Vision Dr. Virendra Solanki, leading the delegation, said, “We are constantly striving to fulfill the demands of the students. We are in touch with thousands of students across the country whose views we have presented to the Health Ministry. It is expected that as soon as possible a student-friendly solution will be found.”

After the meeting, the National General Secretary of ABVP said, “Our delegation mainly put forward six important points in front of the Hon’ble Union Minister and the officials acknowledged it to be major issues that need to be focused on. So, we are positive that these points will pave the way for the decision and the students will get relief.”

Last week, the Supreme Court refused to interfere in the matter; and left the decision to extend the exam date of NEET PG 2022 to the central government. The plea to defer the exam date was dismissed by the top court, as they said postponing the exams will result in “chaos and uncertainty.’
