CBSE CTET: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February registration 2026 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will get reopened on December 27, 2025 for candidates who were unsuccessful in completing their application process.
CBSE revealed that a total of 1,61,127 incomplete registrations happened that were unable to get converted into completed and submitted final applications.
A CBSE CTET notification mentioned that the present CTET edition is getting organized after a gap of approximately one year. Therefore, the CBSE has decided that applicants with incomplete applications will receive a facility to complete their application on the CBSE CTET portal.
How And When Can Applicants Complete Their Incomplete Applications?
Applications can visit the CBSE CTET website at https://ctet.nic.in/ and complete their applications on December 27, 2025 (starting 11 am) till December 30, 2025 (till 11:59 pm).
When Did The Original Registration Window Opened?
The CBSE CTET registration window for 2026 originally opened from November 27 to December 18, 2025. A total of 25,30,581 candidates were successful in making their applications.
CBSE CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for paper I (for classes I-IV) must have successfully completed or be in the last year of a two-year diploma in elementary education. In contrast, candidates applying for paper II (for classes VI-VIII) must have a valid bachelor’s degree with a 4-year integrated B.A./ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed or two-year B. Ed.
There is no upper age limit for applicants to appear in the CTET 2025 examination.
CBSE CTET Application Fee 2026
Candidates who want to submit their application are required to make an online application fee. The fee is Rs. 1,000 for one paper and Rs. 1,200 for both papers for general and other backward classes (OBCs). The fee is Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs. 600 for both papers for scheduled castes, schedule tribes and person with a disability (PwD) candidate.
