Competitive questions will also be asked from the students in the CBSE board exams?

The Central Board of Secondary Education has taken an important decision regarding the 10th and 12th examinations. Some competitive questions will also be asked from the students in the CBSE board 10th and 12th exams. All the students appearing in the CBSE Board Exam 2023 should be aware of the changes in the exam pattern (CBSE Board Exam Pattern).

According to various media reports, State Education Minister Annapurna Devi said in a written reply to the question asked in the Parliament, under the New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), changes are being made in the pattern of board exam questions. Under the National Education Policy ie NEP, CBSE had also advised schools to change the pattern of education and curriculum. Many questions based on merit will be asked in CBSE Board 10th and 12th Exam.

Look at the new exam pattern, the number of Competency Based Questions in CBSE 10th Board Exam will be around 40 percent and 30 percent in 12th (CBSE Board Marking Scheme). These questions will be like this – In objective type questions, you will have to write the answer in one word / 3-4 words or you will have to choose the correct one from several options. Apart from this, Constructive Response Time, Assertion and Reasoning and Case based questions will be asked. In Case Based Questions, questions related to a situation will be asked.

What changes have been made in the school curriculum under NEP?

Under the New Education Policy 2020 (National Education Policy), some major changes have been made in school education – Competency Based Learning, Adoption of Learning Outcomes, Use of experimental and fun methods of teaching (such as artistic way, sports-games teaching, storytelling method).

Emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy, appointment of qualified counselors at secondary and senior secondary level.
