Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME) its third inter-college sports tournament, Samgrah 2026, bringing together approx 3000 students from across institutions in a celebration of sports, competition and teamwork.

The event began with a grand inaugural ceremony at the DME campus, attended by key dignitaries including Director General Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh and Director Prof. (Dr.) Komal Vig. The opening day featured competitions in judo, arm wrestling, table tennis, and chess setting a strong and energetic tone for the tournament.
The momentum carried forward into Day 2 and Day 3 where football and kabaddi matches took center stage. Teams delivered strong performances with football highlighting pace and coordination, while kabaddi matches showcased intensity, agile and strategic play. A special moment during these days was the ceremonial prayer conducted by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, marking the beginning of the kabaddi matches.
The fourth day marked the valedictory ceremony, where the Director General- DME Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh and the Director- DME Prof (Dr.) Komal Vig, felicitated the winners and runners-up by presenting trophies, medals and cash prizes, celebrating their achievements and efforts.
With four days successfully completed, the tournament will resume with its remaining fixtures on 11th and 12th March 20.
