In a significant step towards strengthening value-based higher education, holistic learning, Indian Knowledge Systems, and interdisciplinary academic collaboration, Sri Sri University entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Shobhit University and Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology at the serene premises of the The Art of Living Ashram, Bengaluru.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the gracious presence and blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, whose vision of integrating education with human values, inner well-being, and societal harmony continues to inspire institutions across the world.

On behalf of Sri Sri University, the MoUs were signed by Dr. Rajita Kulkarni, President of the University. On behalf of Shobhit institutions, the agreements were signed by Mr. Abhinav Shobhit, Vice President, in the presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra.
The collaboration seeks to promote meaningful academic engagement in areas including holistic education, research, innovation, Indian Knowledge Systems, Yoga, Ayurveda, consciousness studies, entrepreneurship, skill development, and student and faculty exchange initiatives. The partnership is also expected to encourage collaborative conferences, research projects, curriculum enrichment, and community-oriented programmes aligned with the broader vision of nation-building through education.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Chancellor Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra observed that institutions of higher learning must evolve beyond conventional degree frameworks and become centres for intellectual, ethical, and human development.
He noted that the future of education would belong not merely to technologically advanced institutions, but to those capable of harmonising knowledge with wisdom, innovation with responsibility, and professional excellence with inner balance.
He further emphasised that India’s civilisational knowledge traditions, when integrated with contemporary academic systems and scientific inquiry, can contribute meaningfully to creating a more humane and sustainable global future.
The interaction with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also reflected upon the larger role of universities in nurturing socially conscious leadership, emotional resilience, ethical decision-making, and service-oriented institutional culture.
