The government has introduced major security measures for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, enhanced CCTV surveillance, and stricter monitoring.

NEET: Following the paper leak incident of NEET-UG 2026, the government is taking various unprecedented security steps before the re-examination.

NEET Needed Major Reforms

Cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination has created panic among many students and parents throughout the country. Various issues like security and accountability came to the surface because of the NEET scandal.

Govt Launches Massive Anti-Fraud Crackdown

One of the government’s biggest moves has been its crackdown on fake paper leak rackets operating online. Authorities identified multiple groups allegedly attempting to deceive students by selling fake question papers and false promises of exam access.

  • Action Against Fake Leak Claims

Officials have repeatedly clarified that viral claims of fresh paper leaks were false and urged students not to trust unverified information circulating on social media.

Official WhatsApp Channel Introduced

To combat misinformation, the National Testing Agency  launched an official WhatsApp channel for exam-related updates. The initiative is designed to provide verified information directly to students and reduce dependence on unofficial sources that often spread rumors and confusion.

CCTV Monitoring And Enhanced Security

Security arrangements at examination centers have also been significantly strengthened. Enhanced surveillance systems, including CCTV monitoring and advanced security protocols, are being used to ensure a fair examination environment.

  • Technology Takes Centre Stage

Officials have indicated that technology will play a larger role in future examinations, with discussions around computer-based testing and AI-enabled monitoring systems aimed at preventing future irregularities.

Extraordinary Measures To Protect Exam Integrity

In one of the most debated decisions, authorities temporarily restricted access to Telegram ahead of the re-examination, arguing that the platform had been used by fraud networks to spread misinformation and conduct scams targeting NEET candidates.

Can Trust in NEET Be Restored?

NEET: While the new measures have been welcomed by many students and parents, trust cannot be rebuilt overnight. Aspirants are looking for consistent transparency and proof that future examinations will remain secure.
