The box office saw two very different Hindi films arrive together this past Friday, and both are now facing a tough fight for survival. Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur, a period military drama directed by Razneesh Ghai, released alongside Milap Zaveri’s adult comedy Mastiii 4, led by Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani.
Despite their contrasting themes, both films started on a weak note and are now heading towards an underwhelming first week. Yet, 120 Bahadur has managed to stay ahead, even as weekday drops slow down its momentum.
120 Bahadur Vs Mastiii 4 Box Office Collection Day 4
On Day 4, the Monday test brought a sharp decline for both titles. 120 Bahadur collected Rs 1.40 crore, while Mastiii 4 earned slightly more at Rs 1.50 crore. The fall was expected after the weekend, but the dip from Sunday’s figures was steep. On Day 3, Farhan’s film made Rs 4 crore, and the comedy posted Rs 3 crore.
Saturday had been a stronger day for 120 Bahadur, pulling in Rs 3.85 crore. Mastiii 4, meanwhile, earned Rs 2.75 crore, matching its Friday opening of Rs 2.75 crore. Farhan’s film opened at Rs 2.25 crore, giving it a small but consistent lead throughout the weekend.
Even after Monday’s big drop, 120 Bahadur still holds a clear edge in total domestic earnings. After four days, it has reached Rs 11.50 crore. Mastiii 4 has finally crossed the Rs 10 crore mark after its Monday performance.

It is also ahead of recent theatrical releases like India’s Oscars entry Homebound (Rs 4.58 crore) and Excel Entertainment’s earlier film this year, Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi (Rs 7.77 crore).
Now, the next target for both 120 Bahadur and Mastiii 4 is to match or surpass Mere Husband Ki Biwi (Rs 12.25 crore) and Crazxy (Rs 14.03 crore). With only three more days before new releases take over, the window is short.
Both The Film To Face Competition From Tere Ishk Mein
And competition is about to intensify. Aanand L Rai’s romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, arrives this Friday. Vibhu Puri’s Gustaakh Ishq, featuring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, also releases the same day. The film marks the production debut of designer Manish Malhotra.
120 Bahadur brings the story of the 1962 Battle of Rezang La and marks Farhan Akhtar’s return to acting after Toofan. Raashii Khanna appears in a special role. On the other side, Mastiii 4 continues the hit comedy franchise built by Indra Kumar, with Aftab, Riteish, and Vivek returning as the iconic trio.
