Farhan Akhtar’s military drama 120 Bahadur entered cinemas with solid buzz, but the film’s box office journey has slowed down sharply within its first week. The film, which revisits the historic Battle of Rezang La and celebrates the bravery of the 13 Kumaon Regiment, was released on November 21. Fans were excited to see Akhtar return to the big screen as Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. However, the numbers after the weekend have not lived up to expectations.
The film opened to mixed reviews but earned praise for its emotional moments, strong performances, and patriotic appeal. Still, these strengths have not helped its weekday performance. According to early estimates, 120 Bahadur collected only Rs 1 crore on Day 6, its lowest single-day figure. With this drop, the film’s total now stands at Rs 14 crore.
Meanwhile, Mastiii 4 has taken a slight lead on Day 6, even though it is also facing a weak run. The Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi starrer remains behind 120 Bahadur in total numbers, but it is showing a more stable trend for now. However, both films are unlikely to cross Rs 15 crore in their opening week.
120 Bahadur Vs Mastiii 4 Box Office Collection Day 6
120 Bahadur opened to disappointing numbers and struggled to build momentum through the week. It earned Rs 2.25 crore on Friday and picked up during the weekend with Rs 3.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 4 crore on Sunday. This small growth was not enough to boost long-term momentum.
Monday saw a major crash as the film dropped to Rs 1.4 crore, falling by 65%. Tuesday brought a minor rise to Rs 1.5 crore, but the recovery was too small to change the film’s track. On Wednesday, Rs 1 crore came in as per early estimates, marking yet another dip.
With a Rs 14 crore total, the film is heading toward a weak first week. It now depends heavily on word of mouth, but the trend indicates a tough road, especially with new releases arriving soon.
Mastiii 4 also made a poor start and continues to show underwhelming numbers. It opened at Rs 2.75 crore on Friday and stayed flat on Saturday. Sunday brought a slight rise to Rs 3 crore, but the jump was not strong enough to boost the film’s trajectory.
The weekday fall was steep. Monday dropped to Rs 1.6 crore, followed by another Rs 1.6 crore on Tuesday, showing no growth. On Wednesday, early estimates placed the collection at Rs 1.15 crore.
So far, the film stands at Rs 12.85 crore, pointing toward a dull week and will finish 1st week below Rs 15 crore.

About Both The Films
Both films were released on the same day, but belong to completely different genres.
120 Bahadur recreates the 1962 Battle of Rezang La, where 120 Indian soldiers fought against an overwhelming Chinese force. Farhan Akhtar leads the film with intensity, supported by a cast that highlights courage, sacrifice, and patriotism. Made on a reported budget of Rs 80–90 crore, the film earned appreciation for its performances and war sequences, but has failed to convert the buzz into strong box office numbers.
On the other hand, Mastiii 4 brings back the long-running adult-comedy franchise. The story follows the original trio (played by Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani) who chase excitement after feeling stuck in domestic life. Their plan for a wild escape leads to chaos, confusion, and a series of comic disasters. With a budget of around Rs 50 crore, the film hoped to attract fans of the earlier instalments but has opened to a lukewarm response.
