Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s brother and director Anil Devgan died on Monday, the actor informed in a tweet on Tuesday. He wa 51.
Devgn took to Twitter to share the news and wrote, ” I lost my brotehr Anil Devgan last night. His untimely demise has left our family heartbroken. ADFF and I will miss his presence dearly.”
The actor also informed that his family will not be holding a prayer meet amid the pandemic.
“Pray for his soul. Due to the pandemic, we will not have a personal prayer meet,” he added.
Anil Devgan is the son of Prem Prakash Devgan and cousin brother of Ajay Devgn.
Minutes after the actor shared the heartbreaking news, his friends and colleagues from the film industry expressed grief and offered condolences.

Anil was a part of Ajay Devgn’s production house, Ajay Devgn FFilms. He first started off as an assistant director with ‘Jeet’ in 1996 and went on to direct Ajay’s films like ‘Raju Chacha’ and ‘Blackmail’. He was creative director of Ajay’s film ‘Son of Sardaar’.
Kajol took to Instagram, on Wednesday, to share a heartfelt not after the death of her brother-in-law. In her post, Kajol shared a picture of Durga Puja Pandal and infromed that her family will not be celebrating the festival this year.
