It’s been a while to an Akshay Kumar release and fans of the actor are in anticipation of his new project. While the actor does have an intense pipeline of the films to be released, the current scenario across the country is not letting make entertainment its priority. With covid-19 cases still being recorded over 2 lakh, the cinema hustle in India remains far sighted, leaving OTT an only option for actors to release their films. However, Akshay hasn’t, at least yet, planned to take the digital route for his two upcoming films, Bell Bottom and Sooryavanshi, and has urged fans to wait a little longer The actor has released an official statement clarifying the speculations on the release dates of the two movies.
The actor on Saturday, Akshay said, “I’m humbled at the excitement and eagerness of my fans regarding the release of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom, and want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their love.”
“However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time,” he added according to the official release.
Notably, both Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom had previously been also delayed in the wake of the pandemic.
Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay and Katrina Kaif in the lead was set to get a theatrical release on April 30.On the other hand, Bell Bottom, which was set to get a theatrical release on May 28, this year was also postponed and the new dates were not announced by the makers.
Apart from Bell Bottom, Akshay has many other projects in his pipeline including Atrangi Re, Raksha Bandhan, Bachchan Pandey, Prithviraj, Ram Setu, and Mission Lion.
