Coldplay: British Rock Band Coldplay recently announced its return to India after 8 years and the wave of excitement went above and beyond the normal limit. This unprecedented craze for Coldplay in India not only impressed everyone but created a lot of memes around the situation as well. As soon as Coldplay’s Mumbai concert in DY Patil Stadium tickets went live, they got sold out. It took less than an hour for that to happen. Amul’s Sarcastic Take on Coldplay Sold Out Tickets
One of the biggest Dairy companies Amul on its official social media handles shared this post. In their poster, they wrote, ‘Fans Left in the Cold.’ Along with that took a band’s song Fix You in another line. They also wrote, ‘Fix You a snack?’ Their poster included the famous cartoon of the brand and a PC featuring a singer and ‘sold-out’ written on it. In the caption, Amul wrote, ‘Popular pop band Coldplay’s shows sold out leading to much controversy!’
Fans React to the Poster
Just like Amul’s poster, fans also shared their humourous responses. They wrote various things under the comment section of Amul’s poster. They wrote, ‘From Coldplay to Soldplay, there is some Foulplay!’ and ‘Cold out.’ One user replied to the caption, ‘Not cold but scammed!’ While the other asked for Amul’s sponsorship for his tickets. He wrote, ‘@amul_india can sponsor my tickets for concert and flight tickets as well, pls!’
Who is Coldplay?
Have you ever heard the song Hymn for the Weekend? or Viva La Vida? Well, even if you haven’t, you have! Because these are some of the most widely used songs. Coldplay, a rock boyband formed in 1997 by Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion. The Band has some of the most popular songs including My Universe and Something Just Like This. They started getting recognition in India when they shot the music of Hymn for the Weekend in the country. Their song featured Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor as well.
Their craze in India is so high that their tickets were sold out in less than an hour. Fans are even booking Coldplay’s Dubai Concert tickets. The concert will take place on the 18th and 19th of January in India and the 11th in Dubai.
