RRR star Ram Charan continues to win hearts. After the RRR song Naatu Naatu’s Oscar win, the pan-India star is winning global applauds. But amid this, the actor hasn’t forgotten to be connected to his roots. Before their Oscars’ appearance, Ram Charan along with his wife Upasana Konidela performed a pooja at their small temple that they set up in their room. The RRR actor said that he carries a temple set up with him and carries it with himself wherever he can. This makes them connected to India no matter in which part of the world they are.
Ram Charan prays before heading for Oscars
As the actor geared for his big day, a team of Vanity Fair was welcomed by him at his house which gave fans an insight into his preps for the big day. The cameras followed Ram Charan and wife Upasana giving fans an glimpse into their fits for the big event.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, the actor revealed, “Wherever I go, my wife and I set up this small temple. This ritual, it just keeps us connected to our energies and India. It’s very important for all of us to begin this day thanking, showing gratitude to everything and every person who has helped us be here.”
After they get dressed to the nine, Ram and Upasana were seen praying before heading for their Red Carpet appearance at the 95th Academy Awards.

Ram Charan made a stunning appearance at the red carpet in a bandhgala designed by Indian designers Shantanu & Nikhil. He was styled for the Oscars by Nikita Jaisinghani. The actor said about his outfit, “I feel like I’m wearing India. It’s detailed beautifully with everything.” The buttons on his outfit were actually coins which were embossed by the Bharat symbol. Upasana, who is six months pregnant, wore a cream saree that was accessorised with a red flower as a necklace. Her saree was made of silk scraps by Telangana artisans back in India.
