During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the host asked Ruffalo why he wasn’t in the Avengers trailer. Fallon joked, “Every time you’re on the show, you give a spoiler or you get in trouble.”

About Avengers Doomsday

Avengers Doomsday is set to be a big moment in the MCU. The film will release on December 18, 2026. It will bring a new story and a strong new villain. Anthony and Joe Russo (who directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame) are at the helm. The screenplay is by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. The story takes place 14 months after Thunderbolts (2025) and is the fifth main Avengers film. Marvel Studios and AGBO are producing it, and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will distribute it.

One of the biggest highlights is Robert Downey Jr.’s return. He played Tony Stark/Iron Man in earlier Avengers films. Now, he takes on Victor Von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom, a character from the Fantastic Four. This has excited fans because it connects the MCU with the X-Men universe for the first time.

The film has a huge ensemble cast. Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Kelsey Grammer, Florence Pugh and James Marsden are part of the lineup. On top of that, actors from the old X-Men movies will return. Ian McKellen plays Magneto, Alan Cumming is Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn reprises Mystique, and James Marsden is Cyclops.
