Irrfan’s birth anniversary: Actor Irrfan’s son Babil remembered his dad on his birth anniversary on January 7. The actor, who passed on on April 29, 2020 after battling cancer, would have turned 56 today. Babil posted a heartbreaking note for Irrfan and shared some precious throwback pictures.
Babil remembers Irrfan
Taking to his Instagram, Babil shared a few throwback pictures of Irrfan. The photos are from the time when Babil was a toddler. In one of the pictures shows him as a kid playing with his mother while Irrfan turned the photographer. Captioning it, he wrote, “Questions keep me up at night. Those that I never asked then, those that I can never ask now. My inquiries are left for me to quench on my own, that’s okay, I will figure it out. I miss your laughter though, I don’t think there is an answer for that. Remembering a day when you arrived here.(sic)”
‘No one can ever be Baba‘
Babil, who made his Bollywood debut with Qila, had said in an interview, “I just feel like if I ever tried to do what Baba was doing, I would not only upset Baba, and not only upset my mom, but I would really just upset my own spirituality, like upset my connect with nature. The evolution of nature is beautiful. I think it would be so upsetting if I tried to be Baba. No one can ever be Baba.”
He also added, “When I lost Baba, I was 21, so suddenly, everyone wanted to give me advice. It was kind for them to think of me and give me advice, but I remember I was getting very anxious. I always had anxiety throughout my life, but it got worse because of so much input and not knowing what to listen and who to listen to. And plus, I don’t have Baba to tell me and to ask him questions. There was nobody I can ask the questions I used to ask Baba. There just nobody I can do that with. So, I went through a process, an emotional journey, where I realized that the only way I can go through this life, is listening to myself, like taking on the inputs, taking all the advice, sitting with it, seeing how they are mixing with my soul. And then like the end, my energy will tell me what to do.”
