As Theri was a hit, people have been expecting a great opening day for Varun's film Baby John and it stood high on expectations. Giving a tough challenge to Allu Arjun's December release, record-breaker Pushpa 2, Varun Dhawan's film earned him, his career's one of the biggest opening days. How much did it earn?

Baby John Box Office Collection Day 1

Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff's flick Baby John amassed a massive INR 12.50 Crore on Day 1. The film was released on Wednesday, December 25th and grossed pretty well on the Christmas Day. This is Varun Dhawan's first film in five years except for Kalank which acquired a double-digit collection on Box Office's Day 1. Baby John is an action thriller and it is expected that the film will continue its momentum in the upcoming weekend.

Comparision with Record Maker Pushpa 2 The Rule

Even though a few fans were expecting humongous first-day earnings from the Baby John movie, it tried hard to stand on it. The flick received a good response from the audience but unfortunately couldn't go past Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's record-maker and breaker film Pushpa 2 The Rule Day 21 Collection. On one hand, where Varun Dhawan's Baby John earned INR 12.50 Cr on Day 1. Pushpa 2 grossed INR 7.25 Crore more than Baby John first day collection on its 21st Day at the Box Office. Pushpa 2 The Rule Christmas Day collection was 19.75 Cr*, which dictates the audience's interest in the films.

Baby John is a film starring Varun Dhawan as the protagonist and Jackie Shroff as the antagonist. Co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, Baby John film's story revolves around a DCP Satya Verma who's hiding his identity and living with his daughter in Kerala. Interrupting his peaceful life, the antagonist enters and bring back the tensions in his life. This Kalees directorial has a lot of action, drama and emotions in the film to keep the fans engaged with a special cameo of 'Bhaijaan' Salman Khan.
