Varun Dhawan promoted his latest release everywhere and gave it his all to let people aware of his upcoming film. His efforts were appreciated and people visited theaters on the release day to watch the film. However, a day after the release theaters witnessed something else. A big drop in the Baby John Box Office collection on Day 2. On Thursday, December 26th, Baby John witnessed a dip of 60% and earned 4.5 Cr* which is 6.75 Cr less than the first day collection. On Day 1, Varun Keerthy's movie could amass 11.25 Cr. This drop came as a shocker for many fans, even though it was somehow expected.
Can a Weekend Save Baby John?
Being released on Christmas, the film hit the theaters on Wednesday which closed an opportunity for an immediate weekend. Usually, films are released on Fridays so that, people can watch the films on the weekends, however, a mid-week release causes problems in this regard. As the weekend is inching closer, it can be expected that Baby John will regain its momentum. However, as it's December, a massive film is also playing on the screen right next to Baby John and that is Pushpa 2. Even though the film saw a drop of 51.44% this week, its Day 22 collection is still greater than Baby John's Day 2 Box Office collection, 9.6 Cr. It can give a tough competition to Varun Dhawan's film on the weekend.
Which Shows Are Gaining the Most for Varun's flick?
As per Sacnilk, Night shows are having the most occupancy in theaters, 16.17%. Followed by Afternoon shows with 11.23% and Evening shows with 11.09%. A few people are watching the morning shows of Baby John movie as well, 5.85%.
Chennai (23.50%) followed by Bengaluru (16.50%), Lucknow (14.75%) and Pune (13.25) are the cities are occupying the theaters for Varun Dhawan's film Baby John the most.
