Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar’s Film Sees Strong 55% Rise on Saturday Despite Show Cuts Due To Dhurandhar 2

Bhooth Bangla box office collection jumps 55% on Day 2 as Akshay Kumar’s film shows strong weekend growth despite screen cuts. The film earns Rs 19 crore on Saturday, taking total India net collection to Rs 35 crore.

Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla is showing steady growth at the box office after a decent start. The film has picked up strong momentum on its second day, even though it faced reduced shows in theatres.

The Priyadarshan-directed film is slowly building its total, with early signs of stable performance despite competition and screen-sharing pressure.

Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 2

The biggest highlight for Bhooth Bangla is its strong growth on Saturday. According to Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 19 crore on Day 2. This is a sharp rise from its opening day collection of Rs 12.25 crore.

With this, the Bhooth Bangla box office registered a jump of nearly 55%, showing clear weekend support from audiences. The film also benefited from paid previews, which added Rs 3.75 crore earlier. So far, the total India net collection stands at around Rs 35 crore.

However, despite this growth, the film slightly trails Akshay Kumar’s earlier release Jolly LLB 3 in Day 2 earnings, which collected Rs 20 crore. Still, Bhooth Bangla maintains a strong overall total due to its preview advantage.

Bhooth Bangla Faces Screen Cuts Due To Dhurandhar 2

One of the key challenges for Bhooth Bangla is the reduction in shows. Screenings dropped from 12,386 on Day 1 to 11,513 on Day 2. The reason is the ongoing screen-sharing pressure from Dhurandhar 2, which continues to perform strongly in many theatres even after several weeks.

Due to this clash, exhibitors in several centres have prioritised the older running film over new releases. Despite fewer shows, the Bhooth Bangla box office managed to grow, mainly driven by evening and night occupancy.

The film is now expected to perform better on Sunday due to weekend demand. However, weekdays will be crucial in testing its real staying power at the box office.

About The Film

Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan. The duo has previously delivered hit comedies like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Garam Masala. Their collaboration has long been associated with successful entertainment films.

The movie features a strong cast including Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav, and Jisshu Sengupta. It also brings back the popular trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav after several years.

The story follows Arjun Acharya, who returns from London after inheriting an ancestral haveli and a large fortune. He plans his sister’s wedding there, but strange supernatural incidents begin to unfold. Soon, he is forced to uncover dark secrets linked to his family’s past and black magic.

Made on a reported budget of Rs 120–130 crore, the film is backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films. Akshay Kumar has also reportedly taken a reduced upfront fee, choosing profit sharing instead.
